Hello friends!
I trust you had a great day! I'm just finishing up mine...it's 5 o'clock in the morning. Ay curumba! It's wayyy past my bedtime! :) But I have a good excuse. I just finished watching the movie, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." All I have to say is...wow. This movie is excellent. The story is beautiful and deeply moving. I admit it, I cried. I love the LOVE that Benjamin and Daisy had between each other. It was simply beautiful. This movie made me really think about life. It made me all the more thankful for the people in my life and for the place and time I am in my life right now. There will be loses and gains...and I am just thankful for what is to come. And I'm certainly thankful for all the good that has happened in my life.
Here are a few quotes from the movie that stuck out to me;
Benjamin Button: Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss.
Benjamin Button: You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.
Benjamin Button: [Voice over; letter to his daughter] For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
Daisy: We all end up in diapers.
Daisy: Loving you is worth everything to me
Mrs. Maple: [at piano] It's not about how well you play, it's how you feel about what you play.
Benjamin Button: Some people, were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people, dance.
Benjamin Button: It's a funny thing about comin' home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You'll realize what's changed is you.
Daisy: Would you still love me if I were old and saggy?
Benjamin Button: Would you still love ME if I were young and had acne? When I'm afraid of what's under the bed? Or if I end up wetting the bed?
Mrs. Maple: Benjamin, we're meant to lose the people we love. How else would we know how important they are to us?
Benjamin Button: I was thinking how nothing lasts, and what a shame that is.
Daisy: Some things last.
The last quote above is true. Love lasts. Some things last, and one of those things is love. We can all use some more love and give some more love. It truly is the one thing that is truly important in this life and will last for eternity.
Well guys,
Off to bed. I am going to go cuddle with my hubby.
I don't wanna miss a moment.
-Love Your Fellow Chocolatier
P.S., The New Year is almost here, now is a good time to take a few moments and think or re-evaluate the things that are most important in your life. One good question to start asking yourself now is "what will I wish I could have done more of when I'm on my death bed?" Is is making money, having a great career, or spending time with the people I love? Hopefully, it's the latter. :)
